Plasma Digi-Cut
PORTABLE PLASMA CUTTER WITH CNC POWER
PORTABLE PLASMA CUTTER WITH CNC POWER
We have had the Freetech iCut in our range since 2008. This year it has been replaced by the new Freetech Digi-Cut. The upgrade is huge. Not only because the control, as with most of our machines, is now controlled by a microprocessor, but because the entire machine has undergone a transformation.
Cut sheet metal up to 3 cm, cut perforated metal, gouge and connect it to a CNC installation!
In addition to a completely new inverter design and new digital control, the 2019 version has a lot of interesting functions. Think of already installed programs for different processes, an AIR SET function that works in combination with a pressure sensor indicating whether the correct air pressure is used for the switched-on process.
The gouging function makes it possible to remove highly targeted material. This can range from rusted nuts to welds that need to be removed.
In addition, there is a perforated plate or 'Punch' function, which restarts an arc in a fraction of a second. As a result, such material can now also be cut via CNC.
The automatic fan control switches the fan on and off when needed.
The CNC output on the back of the machine passes on all necessary information to the CNC controller. A start / stop signal, an ok-to-move signal, a voltage output (1 / 16th and 1 / 50th, raw voltage via 100k resistor) for controlling a THC (torch height control).
The wear-and-tear consumption is approximately 30% lower than average due to digital technology.
This device can be used for cutting and gouging all conductive metals. The standard torch is used for manual cutting. The optional machine torch is used for CNC.
The plasma arc is created by an electric arc and gas (in most cases compressed air). The machine must therefore also be connected to an air compressor.
